WARNING ! Warning Signs to be Treated at MAC Lab

Recently, the MAC Lab’s head conservator road tripped to Florida to pick up all kinds of fragile goodies for the conservation department. Among them were six “keep out” signs from the Nike Missile Base in Homestead, Florida, located in the Everglades National Park. Four of the signs are in English and two are in Spanish and they sport catchy little phrases like “the use of deadly force is authorized.” Each sign measures approximately 3 by 2 ½ feet and all need “serious” re-laying (consolidation) of their fragile paint surfaces.
