Discover Archaeology at JPPM !

Get out your calendars and prepare to save the date – Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum invites you to celebrate our 2010 opening season on April 17th! The celebration will last from 10am – 5pm and there’ll be lots of activities for you to enjoy. We’ll be offering guided tours of the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory, demonstrations in the Indian Village, children’s activities, tours of archaeology sites on the Park, and we’ll even have wagon rides to take you to an ongoing excavation on JPPM grounds where you can talk to museum archaeologists and watch them work. Maybe you own something that you think is historical, but you’re not really sure? We’ll have archaeologists from around the State on hand for “show and tell” – you show us what you’ve got, we’ll tell you what it is. And much more. Bring the kids, bring grandma, bring the neighbors, we’ll see you there!
